You Love Me: the highly anticipated new thriller in the You series Customer Reviews
:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Denise OSullivan -- Great addition to the library : My sister has all the books except this one, This is the last one she needed. Came in grat condition ( Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2021 )
- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Samantha K. -- After reading the first two books, this was disappointing. : I really enjoyed the first two books, and was excited to read this right after finishing book two. I wanted finish the series before season 3 premieres next month (although season 2 was very different from book 2), but unfortunately was very disappointed with book three. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from JOANNA DURSI -- Back to the basics : Well, I never thought I’d say this but…POOR JOE!!!!! Definitely on par with the first book. I love that in this world of wacky drama that Ms. Kepnes (and Joe) could still make me laugh out loud. I think what surprised me the most this time around was that even with all the c-r-a-z-y, and all the oh. no. that. did. not. just. happen moments, there was actually a quite beautiful love story woven in. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from R. G. Morgan -- Not the same old Joe : The third book in the YOU series was something I'd been looking forward to for a long time. The writing is still pure Kepnes: vibrant, witty and replete with literary and pop culture references. The quality of her sassy, spiky prose remains from the previous installments and yet. . . - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Claire H. Greenhill -- A brilliant character written by a brilliant author : Joe Goldberg may just be my all-time favorite baddie, and Caroline Kepnes is at the top of my immediate-purchase list, because she is a brilliant, sick, talented-AF writer. - 1.0 out of 5 stars from Genie84 -- Awful : I was bored 3 pages in, but gave it a chance as I loved the first book, thought the second one was okay, and love the Netflix series (albeit the story line is v. different). This book was a waste of money and time. The love between Joe and MK doesn't even feel genuine. It feels forced and boring. The brother-in-law, the paedo best friend, the feminist best friend and the Quinn henchman story lines are just shocking; clearly inserted in an attempt to add a cliffhanger-like factor to some of the chapters. Good analogies throughout and well written, but didn't save CK this time, sadly. This is truly one of the worst books I've read. I don't think she can redeem herself with a 4th book, so I just hope she quits with this series now. It's already ruined. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 10, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from H. Payne -- Psycho Joe - Good Joe : Sort of spoiler alert- Joe still manages to wreck lives without wrecking lives this time. A determination to be good leaves him in the position where he’s slightly out of control. The mayhem happens around him and it only needs the gentlest of prods to send it in an awry direction. The psychos surround Joe this time and he helps them on their way, until the one he didn’t expect and justify in his “Joe” way, totally blindsides him. There’s twists and turns and every happy lull is one of intense false security as you know that 1000 piece jigsaw of life is being build on the wobbliest table of all and it’s only a sentence away from tipping up and sending the pieces flying again. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 21, 2021 )
- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Urkel Gru -- Watered-down, rambling Joe : Man, we liked Joe because of how bad he was. This time Joe is a 'nice guy' at worst, minimal stalking, no killing. The whole fun was to see Joe scrape out of dangerous situations he got himself into, but that was lacking this time. Characters are boring and hardly fleshed out - we don't know anything about MK other than that she wears skirts, and nothing about the Meerkat other than that she wears ugly glasses. So just their clothes. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 4, 2021 )
